About Me

Rob loves life. You can see it in his expression there. The head slightly slanted to his left indicates an exuberance for life’s simple pleasures. The way his hair slightly swirls across his forehead like a calm wave on a seashore shows you that he is care-free and can’t wait for whatever challenges life throws his way. And the smile, gosh that smile. The smile says that he anticipates, nay, he eagerly awaits the many failures that he will experience each day because he knows that they will only make him stronger in this simple (to him) game of life.

I believe that there must be more to life than that which presently is, for me, my family and friends, and my generation. At 27 years of life, I am among an increasing number of young people who are daring to believe that the purpose of this life we’ve been given is greater than simply sucking air, avoiding discomfort, accumulating possessions, and mitigating risk.

At the end of my days, I don’t want to be a normal man, who lived a normal life. I don’t know what all of this means, but it has redefined my life in terms of pursuit—the pursuit of Truth, love, and freedom—and, ultimately, the pursuit of the One who beckons me down this path.

Unless you help me, Jesus, this is what I am.
